Fairwood Area HOA Sued for Death

Candlewood Ridge and Carriage Wood homeowners received notice that a lawsuit had been filed on July 11 against the homeowners’ association for the death of Deidra Clark, tragically killed by a falling tree on November13, 2017.

Plaintiffs are the Estate of Deidra L. Clark, Clark’s minor daughter, fiancé Norman Devoe, and sister Deirtra Clark.  Clark’s minor daughter was a passenger in the car with her mother at the time of the incident.

The Candlewood Ridge Homeowners’ Association’s (CRCW HOA) insurance carrier has retained an attorney to handle this case.

Defendants include the CRCW HOA, King County, and the HOA’s landscape company, Canber Corporation.

The trial is currently scheduled for July 8, 2019.  The CRCW HOA board is requesting all who may have additional information regarding this incident to contact the HOA’s attorney, Shellie McGaughey, at 425.462.4000.
