Fairwood Virtual Town Hall Meeting Set for Tonight

Virtual Townhall Meeting for Newcast Held Earlier this Month

King County Council Member Reagan Dunn will host the first of two virtual Town Halls with Fairwood area residents tonight, September 21, from 7-9 pm. Representative Dunn encourages all to join this Zoom meeting to express opinions, ask questions, provide feedback, and hear more about updates on County activities.

One of the most recent items of great concern to Fairwood residents is the rumored plans to close Fairwood’s King County Sheriff storefront office. Top of mind conversations include the slower response time our community will receive if the office is closed and relocated to the Maple Valley location.

Citizens have said that the current storefront location is leased out to the County at a low rate, realizing the value of its presence in our community.

District 9 includes unincorporated areas Southeast King County. Two similar meetings for Four Creeks/Tiger Mountain and Greater Maple Valley/Cedar River have been held this month, and a fourth meeting will tonight’s Fairwood meeting on September 23 for the Southeast King County/Enumclaw Plateau area.
