Fairwood United Methodist Church will again fire up their huge, open pit barbecue to serve their ever-popular chicken dinner this Saturday, September 7, from 2-7pm.
This year’s event marks the church’s 41st anniversary, serving Alderwood Smoked Barbecue Chicken, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Roll and Drink dinners. Roasted Corn will also be available.
Prices range from a half chicken only for $8 to a full half chicken dinner for $12. Quarter chicken dinners are $9 and corn is just $1.
The church also holds a craft and baked goods and dessert sale during the event.
The church is located at 15255 SE Fairwood Boulevard, right on the main drive within Fairwood Greens.
