Fairwood United Methodist Church will again fire up their huge, open pit barbecue to serve their ever-popular chicken dinner this Saturday, September 8, from 2-7pm.
This year’s event marks the church’s 40th anniversary, serving Alderwood Smoked Barbecue Chicken, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Roll and Drink dinners. Roasted Corn will also be available.
The church also holds a craft and baked goods and dessert sale during the event.
Prices range from a half chicken only for $8 to a full half chicken dinner for $12. Quarter chicken dinners are $9 and corn is just $1.
The church is located at 15255 SE Fairwood Boulevard, right on the main drive within Fairwood Greens.
