- Lake Desire Clubhouse Bench Missing – There was a bench at the clubhouse near the stairs. A neighbor noticed it across the street near the retention ponds. After calling another neighbor to see if it was still there, it was gone. If you see it, please return it. Thanks! Submitted by Lynn, snips4@aol.com.

- Lake Desire Stocked/Parking Permits – The fish and wildlife truck stocked the lake on April 8th. They are still checking for parking permits randomly even for those who come to the bus stop. If you want to order a parking permit online (good from 4/1/10 to 3/31/11), it is $14 at https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/wdfw/vup.html. There is also plenty of room in front of the lot to park.
- Lake Desire Repairs – The Handicap Parking Sign was knocked down last month at the Clubhouse. Thanks to Donna Snure and family for helping to repair the sign!!
- New Way to Get Phone Numbers – Here is a free way to call for a phone number, and have them connect you. Call 1-800-466-4411 or 1-800-goog411. It is provided by Google. See this link for more information: http://www.google.com/goog411. Submitted by bellafloragirl@yahoo.com
- Lindbergh Pool Issue – Independent of the Renton School District's budget challenge is the possible closure of the Lindbergh Pool. This family-friendly facility is currently operating at a $175,000 deficit and will be faced with its closure if the budget gap isn't filled. Through multiple meetings and the creation of a task force, the gap has been significantly reduced. Today, $60,000 must now be raised by June 30. This money must come from groups at the grassroots level, requiring the participation of generous citizens and businesses who care about our community. The number of groups impacted by this possible closure is large, including senior citizens, the disabled, families, private swim teams and high school swim teams for both the Renton and Kent School Districts.
