Fairwood Neighbors Show Peaceful Support of Black Lives Matter

While we’ve been taking a bit of a hiatus from covering news in the Fairwood area, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to document our own community’s PEACEFUL protest/march on June 5.

Beginning at the Fairwood Shopping Center, marchers’ chants echoed throughout Fairwood Greens and Candlewood Ridge neighborhoods. Participants then moved to main arterial Petrovitsky Road, arriving at Petrovitsky Park to gather and participate in striking, impactful activities.

Organizers coordinated with King County Sheriffs to ensure all were safe, from beginning to end. Their collaborative presence was greatly appreciated.

Thanks to Fairwood Neighbor Don Ruffin for capturing and sharing event photos.

Did you participate? We would love to hear how the march personally impacted you/your family. Use the form following the photos.

If you have photos to share for this and any other Fairwood-centric news, please email jpegs to info@fairwoodcommunitynews.com.
